About this scholarship

Created in 2019 by former Principal Dr Jane Thomson, this scholarship is to support a returning student to undertake an activity or project relevant to their study and/or vocational interest, such as environmental issues, public or community service, intensive research or study in the arts or sciences, and professional development opportunities.

Preference will be given to students intending to return to Emmanuel College following the experience assisted by the scholarship. Students who are not returning but have made a significant contribution to the life of the College will also be considered.

Examples of activities funded by the scholarship include study abroad, short-term study tours, volunteering experiences, creative retreats, competitive sport meets and personal development courses. This list is not exhaustive; applicants who show broad thinking, flexibility and innovation are encouraged to apply.
