“Win a College Reunion” Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Promoter

The Promoter is Emmanuel College, located at Sir William MacGregor Drive, St Lucia, QLD, 4067, Australia. ABN: 84 505 051 645

  1. Eligibility

Entry is open to Emmanuel College alumni aged 18 years or over at the time of entry. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

  1. Entry Period

The competition opens at 9:00am AEST on Thursday 5 March 2026 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on Friday 29 May 2026 (“Entry Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.

  1. How to Enter

To enter the competition, eligible entrants must, during the Entry Period:

  1. Complete the official online entry form, including providing current and accurate contact details, which will be used to update the Promoter’s database

Each valid entry submitted constitutes one (1) entry.

No entry fee is required.

  1. Referral Entries

Entrants may receive one (1) additional entry for each eligible friend they refer, subject to the following conditions:

  • The referred friend must submit a valid entry during the Entry Period.
  • The referred friend must nominate the referrer by entering the referrer’s name or email address at the time of entry.
  • Self-referrals and duplicate referrals are not permitted.
  • Each successful referral will result in one (1) additional entry being allocated to the referrer.
  • A maximum of five (5) referral entries per person applies.
  1. Game of Chance

This competition is a game of chance.

The winner will be selected by random draw from all valid entries received during the Entry Period. The random draw will use a random number generator applied to the Win a College Reunion database of participants. The winning entry selected will be contacted by email from alumni@emmanuel.uq.edu.au or by telephone.

The draw will take place at Emmanuel College, Sir William MacGregor Drive, St Lucia, QLD 4067 on Monday 1 June 2026.

The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  1. Prize

There is one (1) prize to be won.

The prize consists of a College Reunion event for the winner and up to 50 guests, hosted at Emmanuel College and valued at $5,000 AUD.

The prize may include (at the Promoter’s discretion):

  • Venue hire
  • Catering including canapes and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Basic event staffing
  • Standard audiovisual support

The prize does not include travel, accommodation, or any costs not expressly listed.

  1. Prize Conditions
  • The event must be held on a date agreed between the winner and the Promoter, subject to venue availability.
  • The event must take place within six months of the draw date.
  • 50% of guests attending the event must be Emmanuel College alumni.
  • The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if required.
  1. Winner Notification and Publication

The winner will be notified by email or phone within seven days of the draw.

The winner’s name may be published on the Promoter’s website, social media channels, and in College publications.

  1. Marketing Communications

By entering the competition, entrants consent to receiving marketing, alumni engagement and fundraising communications from the Promoter.

Entrants may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe function or contacting the Promoter directly.

  1. Privacy

Personal information collected will be used to:

  • Administer the competition
  • Update the Promoter’s database
  • Send marketing and fundraising communications

Competition responses may be used (with or without attribution) for College storytelling, marketing and alumni engagement purposes.

All personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at emmanuel.uq.edu.au/privacy-policy

  1. General
  • Incomplete, inaccurate or non-compliant entries may be deemed invalid.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition if required.
  • This competition is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
