Beyond our campus lies a wider community of contributors that share a much-valued role in the successful workings of Emmanuel College.
For many alumni, their time as a student at Emmanuel College was pivotal to becoming the person they are today. With that comes fond memories and a desire to remain connected. We have an active alumni body and would love you to stay involved, with opportunities to mentor, volunteer and attend reunions.

The advent of university and a college residency is the first time many parents have entrusted care of their young person to someone else.
It’s a responsibility that we treat with humility and gratitude.
While your young person is growing their independence, meeting new friends and advancing their learning, we offer ways for you to stay connected with their journey by joining us at various events throughout the year.
Parents make a vital contribution to the life and success of Emmanuel College and will always enjoy a warm welcome into our community.

The award-winning Emmanuel College Highlanders pipe band has been a part of our community since 1998, proudly celebrating and honouring our Scottish heritage.
The band performs at Emmanuel College events and ceremonies, parades and festivals, and championships and competitions across south-east Queensland and northern NSW. Students who join the band may be eligible for a scholarship that recognises their talent and contribution.

Founded by the Presbyterian Church in 1911, Emmanuel College transitioned to the auspices of the Uniting Church upon its formation in 1977.
We continue to emphasise the values of the church. Inclusivity, diversity and respect for others shape the student experience and foster an environment that is positive and supportive.
The Queensland Synod of the Uniting Church appoints members to our governing board. A Uniting Church pastor leads services for Convocation and Valedictory. Students are welcome to attend the St Lucia Uniting Church for prayer, worship, events and fellowship.
Emmanuel College and the Uniting Church proudly maintain a strong and enduring relationship.

Emmanuel College’s inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a meaningful step in our reconciliation journey.
We value our relationship with Reconciliation Australia, which has supported us in shaping this plan, and we’re committed to doing our part to close the gap and make sure First Nations peoples have the same opportunities for learning and prosperity as all Australians.
