For our postgraduate students, home is adjacent to, but separate from, the undergraduate wings and is located less than a minute’s walk to UQ in St Lucia.
The postgraduate spaces at Emmanuel College are designed to balance solitude for study with opportunities to meet new friends and enjoy the camaraderie of a college lifestyle.
Emmanuel College is home to nearly thirty postgraduate residents, with around three-quarters being international students and the remainder from Australia.
Our postgraduate community is made up of students studying advanced degrees, including Higher Degree by Research (PhD/MPhil), Masters by coursework and Doctor of Medicine.
Emmanuel has a long and proud history of high academic success, and our postgraduate programme comprises a vital part of our academic profile.
We welcome students of all ages, from any part of the world and at any stage of their postgraduate journey.
This includes students who are starting a new degree, those midway through their programmes and mature students who are returning to studies and academia later in life.
You’ll even have the opportunity to tutor our undergraduates and earn an income while you live on campus.
We have dedicated accommodation for postgraduate students in self-contained 2- and 4-bedroom apartments that feature a private kitchenette, lounge/dining area, wi-fi, work desks, comfortable beds and a self-service laundry.
