As an associate member, you’ll be able to complement your university learning with vital academic support, access to mentoring and use of our facilities.
Plus, you’ll have the chance to attend social events, participate in Theatre Revue and play in a band.

If you’re a new undergraduate student who’s living off campus, our five-day residential stay before semester 1 gets your university experience off to a flying start! You’ll make new friends in a heartbeat and immediately feel part of something bigger.
We offer associate members access to the same academic support as those who live on campus. That means you can attend any of more than 50 small-group tutorials each week that are led by experienced tutors.
Plus, you are welcome at our formal events and faculty dinners, where visiting speakers and guests can help deepen your understanding of your university coursework.
Our wellbeing program encourages you to explore and strengthen your sense of self. Tailored to address the unique needs of adolescents and young adults, the programme is delivered through education, training, life skills, wellness sessions and lectures, and is available as interactive learning in person and online.
Associate members can also join our weekly Wellness Wednesday activities, and counselling is available whenever you need some extra support.
The Emmanuel Ball and At Home events are two of the biggest functions on our social calendar … and you’re invited!
Associate members can also take part in Blue Dog Week and community service activities, along with co-curricular events like our famous Theatre Revue. These are great ways to get involved and make your mark on our community.
Associate members are encouraged to hang out in our social spaces and use our campus facilities.
Join your live-in college friends for lunch at any time, and for dinner on nights when you have a tutorial. You are also invited to our formal dinners, can access all our study areas and enjoy a discount on a UQ Sport gym membership.
