Kara Chudleigh’s (nee Evans) life-long passion for sport and her leadership potential were first recognised in 1989 when she was awarded Sportswoman of the Year, School Captain and Dux of Lismore High School. While studying a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Queensland, Kara resided at Emmanuel for three years (1990–1992) where she was Sports Convenor and was awarded a UQ ICC Blue for sporting achievement.
After graduating, Kara worked as a business advisor, accountant and senior analyst in a number of multinational professional services firms, including a five-year stint in Hong Kong. Kara married fellow Emmanuelian Craig in 2002. With three children, Kara is heavily involved in school and community groups as well as building the family business, CKC Corporation, with Craig.
Kara is dedicated to health and fitness, including trekking, trail running, and involvement in a women’s adventure group. Her family’s passion for sport and support of Emmanuel College encompasses benefaction of the Evans Family Scholarship for students competing or playing sport at an elite level while studying at The University of Queensland and living at Emmanuel.
