Mrs Diane Tinkler

Diane was educated at Auckland Girls’ Grammar School, The University of Auckland, and The University of Queensland.

Diane’s career spanned human resources consulting in Queensland for 37 years. Previous employment included secondary school teaching and research and counselling at Auckland Medical School. As Job Development and Welfare Officer for a Queensland government-sponsored organisation, she coached and placed physically disabled adults in the workforce (with a 92 per cent success rate).  Diane joined PwC in 1986 where she headed the Human Resources Consulting Division, specialising in senior executive recruitment, change management, and career transition. During this time Diane completed a Grad Dip in Executive Leadership and an MBA with Distinction.

Diane was approached by EY to lead their larger Human Resources Consulting Team in 1994, which she did successfully before starting her own company, Director Search, in 2000. Here she coached executives to reach their full potential and assisted diverse organisations in their search for chief executives, non-executive directors, and senior positions in educational institutes.

Diane was a member of the Emmanuel College Council from 2005-2015 and also Deputy Chair of the Emmanuel College Foundation.
